About Me
MY STORYSince 1995, I’ve been a nurse practitioner in both New York City and San Francisco. After 19 years at Bayspring Medical Group in SF, I relocated to another Altais (formerly Brown & Toland) group in Berkeley and then Oakland.
Finally leaving corporate life behind, I recently joined a private practice in Berkeley. I am now realizing my dream to provide private, personalized care to local patients looking for a nurse practitioner as their sole primary care provider.
With 25 years of clinical expertise under my belt, I offer a personalized, human touch to bridge the gap between knowledge and actionable health care. My mission is to make preventive care engaging and accessible.
I use Epic (Altais MyChart)
I have a robust referral base in SanFrancisco, Oakland and Berkeley.
When I’m not in the office, you may find me hiking and birding all over the Bay Area, attending music festivals, visiting family in Oregon, tending to my sphynx cats, jigsaw puzzling, Yahtzee-ing, listening to true crime podcasts, or watching yet another season of Survivor.
Accepting new patients for in-person or video visits.

“Tara has been seeing my husband and I for almost two years, and I am extremely grateful that we have her as our primary care physician. Her approach towards primary care can be described as compassionate, thorough, curious, and responsive. She is an exemplary LGBTQ+ friendly practitioner and has always been respectful towards my gender identity and chosen name. What I appreciate most about Tara is her openness to trying novel evidence-based healthcare interventions to improve the quality of her patient’s lives.
We’ve followed Tara over the years as her office location has changed, and we will continue to do so for as long as she’s practicing medicine.
